Mix Factory Productions is owned and operated
by Glenn Acosta. The Bronx-born and bred Acosta relies on
drive and a strong work ethic to achieve all of his goals.
He is currently on tour as assistant tour manager with superstar
Marc Anthony, a position he's held for several years. Before
that, he served as road manager for Salsa sensation Michael
Stuart - all the while developing his considerable skills
as a re-mix and pre-production engineer. His list of achievements
include a compilation re-mix CD of Conjunto Clasico hits
for RMM records, as well as producing re-mixes for New York's
WXKQ radio programming and "Paco's Super Mixes"
radio show. Acosta also serves as pre-production engineer
for top New York producers Angel Fernandez and Ricky Gonzalez.
His ingenuity even worked in putting together a portable
recording studio while on the road, all on a 12-passenger
tour bus! Glenn Acosta started from the ground up literally.
He has over a decade of training as a union carpenter and
construction worker. It was on a construction job for DME,
a music management firm, that he would meet Juan Toro. It
is Toro whom Acosta credits with having taught him "the
ropes" of the music industry. Construction job completed,
Acosta stayed on with DME as an apprentice and eventually
became a "roadie", then road manager to some of
the firm's up-and-coming artists. His efficiency and affable
personality have kept artists and producers calling on him
long after his DME days. Throughout all this, Glenn Acosta
has maintained balance between his love for carpentry and
construction, and the music industry. He holds a position
of foreman with LFW Contracting. He is CEO to his own
music production company, Mix Factory Productions. More
importantly, he continues to serve clients and artists with
the same enthusiasm he's shown since the beginning. Acosta
credits his "on-the-job training" in the Latin
music industry to Henry Knowles, the man with the key that
opened the doors for his past success and for what he is
about to embark upon.
